Aline Bittar Künzel is an artist from Curitiba, Brazil, currently based between Rome and London. She graduated from the Fine Art BA at Central Saint Martins, UAL, in 2021, and achieved an MA in Painting at the Royal College of Art in 2025. Her practice explores shifting perceptions of landscape through layered, semi-abstract compositions that often centre on water, containment and spatial ambiguity. Working primarily with acrylic, ink and oil on canvas, she uses gestural processes to evoke both intimacy and immensity. This large-scale diptych extends her exploration of the ellipse, suggesting body-like presence, water and landscape; shifting between containment, vastness, intimacy and scale.
