Ukraine-born, Switzerland-based Anna Korbut combines digital and analogue methods to speak about human-nature connections and the Anthropocene. Her practice examines relationships between humans and nature, the Anthropocene, and inner emotional landscapes, informed by dialogue with science. Her nude photography captures raw authenticity and light’s emotional resonance. The Magic Forest project tells us a story of the fragility of the Laurisilva - ancient subtropical rainforest - and other ecosystems. Korbut teaches, and also holds degrees in photography and journalism. Magic Forest explores the forest’s soul through light, revealing growth, decay and vulnerability across diverse ecosystems, urging respect for nature’s fragility.
