Belinda Lawley's signature photographic collages depict life in motion. Multiple images are woven together in patterns to create large-scale images of locations, compressing time and space into a single artwork. Lawley has produced nine large-scale collages to date, including urban tapestries depicting typical city experiences like escalators and tube trains, as well as natural coastal spaces, parks and lidos. Whilst the camera freezes a moment, these collages insist on the passing of time and the memory of place, as individuals move through locations and seasons change.
