Caro Williams is a London-based artist working across sculpture, sound and installation. Her practice explores memory, language and the traces left by time. Drawing on literature and the natural world, she transforms everyday fragments, lines from poems, field recordings, voices and birdsong, into new material forms, creating quietly poetic spaces that feel familiar yet elusive, where meaning shifts and opens. In the Shimmering Air transforms composer Antonio Vivaldi’s Four Season Sonnets into suspended brass text and sound notes that move with air and light, exploring rhythm, cyclical time, and the interplay between sound and silence, stillness and motion.
