Claudia Behrensen’s series Sacred Bond is about the relationship between humans and nature, reflecting on how people have mistreated the environment, causing irreversible damage. The series includes images which imagine a dystopian future where we have continued to fail to protect our surroundings; the organic world has been destroyed, and only images of it remain. These photographs offer a more hopeful future, where women rebuild and heal our ancestral ties with nature. They form a harmonious relationship of coexistence with the environment, healing the damage that has been done.
