Ekta Aggarwal is a multidisciplinary artist based between Delhi and Los Angeles, whose paintings on khadi fabric are crafted from scrap materials gathered over time. By incorporating natural, handmade pigments sourced from India and embellishing her work with intricate embroidery, she transforms textile art into a profoundly tactile experience. Through hand-sewing and embroidery - practices historically entwined with labour, domesticity, and notions of “women’s work” - Aggarwal engages with themes of craft, identity and cultural heritage. Her richly textured pieces invite reflection on the enduring narratives woven into both material and tradition.
