Ela Skorska is a multi-disciplinary visual artist working predominantly with analogue photography, Super 8, sculpture and painting. While pursuing her BA in Photography at MMU, Skorska studied Fine Arts in Spain through an Exchange Program. This experience expanded her practice and deepened her passion for Fine Arts, film, and experimental cinema. Skorska’s work explores the interplay of light and shadow within the urban environment. Created through a meditative exploration of her surroundings, she focuses on the overlooked beauty, abstraction, and geometrical shapes formed through collaboration with chance. In her ongoing project Abstract Reality, she explores subconscious perception, geometry and analogue process, working in black-and-white to reveal fleeting, overlooked moments within urban space.
