Francesca Pompei, a Philosophy graduate, specialises in art and architecture photography. She is a member of PhotoVogue and serves as Photography Professor and Photography Subject Expert at the Architecture Department of La Sapienza University in Rome. She uses the camera to interpret the city beyond architecture, seeking beauty in ordinary places. “The thing I would really like to express and explore is the space "in between" the known city and the other side, the tenuous relationship between void and surface, volumes and light.” She has been a member of the Freelancers Network of The Washington Post since 2025.
