Fred Schmidt-Arenales is an artist and filmmaker specializing in participatory non-fiction, experimental narrative and video installations. His work explores unconscious processes at individual and collective levels. He has held solo exhibitions at Storefront for Art and Architecture (New York), Visual Arts Center (Austin) and Galveston Artist Residency. His films and installations have been shown internationally at venues such as SculptureCenter, The Bronx Museum, The Logan Center and Kunsthalle Wien. Committee of Six won the Jury Prize for Best of the Festival at the 2023 Onion City Experimental Film Festival.
