Henrique Netto

Chthulhucene Faces (2023)

Henrique Netto’s multidisciplinary practice investigates the transformation of planetary life in the digital era through the imagined figure of the Electroctopus. Combining sculpture, painting, video and installation, his work reflects on human cyborgization and the evolving dialogue between technology and the body. Using materials like electronic waste, psychiatric medicines, resin and glass, Netto crafts provocative pieces that confront the complexities of contemporary existence. His art invites contemplation on how digitalisation reconfigures identity, perception and our relationship to the world, challenging viewers to reconsider humanity’s place within technological systems.
