Honor West’s photographs and films often incorporate surrealism as a means of escaping reality. The Alchemist’s Garden is inspired by the Gucci eau de parfum collection of the same name. Each image is a conceptual response to the title of an individual bottle. The series shows how we might visualise a scent through mythical and ethereal motifs, and is inspired by imagery associated with the Garden of Eden at night.
