STATION layers 16mm film, archival material, and personal reflection to examine identity, migration and collective memory. Hussina Raja weaves together images from different moments: the arrival of South Asian and Caribbean communities in post-war Britain, anti-racist protests in Tower Hamlets, and the cultural presence of Asian Dub Foundation in the early 2000s. These visual elements create a reflective space where history remains in constant dialogue with the present. Raja uses cinema and installation to question who gets to shape historical narratives and how place and memory form belonging. The work reframes dominant perspectives through intimate, often unseen, community experiences.
