Sensorium Simbiótico (2025)

Jairo Madrigal Argáez, David Bermúdez Taborda and Milton César Rodríguez García explore the intersection of science and art through computer simulations. Each piece is the culmination of a process in which mathematical rationality is transformed into sensory abstraction, creating visual experiences. The trio uses numerical models and advanced visualisation techniques to investigate invisible structures. They convert scientific data into landscapes of forms, textures and colours, revealing that which is ineffable to the senses. Sensorium Simbiótico (2025) is a blind of interactive filaments that responds to viewer gestures through vibration and luminescence. It is grounded in research into plant mycorrhizal networks – the so-called "Wood Wide Web" – which transmits information and nutrients underground.
