Having grown up in a beautiful and transforming landscape, Kat Austen is fascinated by how humans and ecologies interact and become part of each other. Emerging from her site-specific field recording practice, Austen creates installations and performances that convey the wild and visceral connectedness of humans to landscapes, technologies, waters and other species, confronting the dark edges of humanity whilst highlighting our shared experience and knowledge.
