Katharine Dowson

River of Life (2019)

Katharine Dowson’s inspiration comes from investigating the environment and the scientific world. The transient quality of glass is used by her as a metaphor for a membrane, a fragile yet robust skin that allows light to pass through and in the form of shadows, reveals the hidden interior. The delicate result mirrors the ecological vulnerability facing humanity. Dowson works in London and her installations have been exhibited internationally.
