Kristina Pulejkova is a visual artist based in London, UK. Her interdisciplinary practice – spanning moving image, sound and installation – is informed by science and technology, exploring how new innovations might lead to greater sustainability and improved human-nature relationships. She constructs subjective, non-human narratives, foregrounding the voices of creatures, objects and even atoms. Her works often deal with environmental issues, using immersive technologies to tell personal stories that place audiences at the centre of the scene. The Metabolic Guide to Space Survival (2025) uses humour to portray the ethical considerations and hard truths of space travel. Framed through the voice of fictional character Chief Bioengineer Mira Kordan, aged 75, living aboard the starship Möbius, the work unfolds across three interwoven forms: a speculative design toolkit, a narrative guidebook and an architectural installation animated by holographic projections of Mira navigating life in zero gravity.
