Lara Orawski is a Canadian artist and photographer based in London. Her practice moves across boundaries, bodies, environments and time — probing themes of extinction, evolution and ecological memory. Where other image-makers fix the natural world in place, Orawski lets it slip: her photographs hold species and landscapes mid-transformation, suspended between what has been lost and what is still becoming. Her work has appeared in Ain't Bad, Creative Review, The Earth Issue, i-D, Schön, and Antics, with works exhibited at Tate Modern, the Lethaby Gallery and Paris Fashion Week. A high Arctic photograph reflects disorientation, scale and transience, with spectral figures between horizons, evoking glacial memory and ecological loss.
