Marian Obando is an artist working between mixed media animation, music and dance improvisation. Through these and other mediums, Obando explores themes around memories, dreams and the body. She has created animated films using watercolour, charcoal, oil pastels, acrylic paint, scratch film, origami paper, pixilation, video, found objects, found footage and other mixed media. She takes an experimental approach to animating art materials, with films screened at festivals including Animateka, Animafest Zagreb and Holland Animation Film Festival; Obando will have her first solo show in 2026 at Chapel Arts Studios, after completing her MA in Animation at Central St Martins.
