15 Kites (2025)

Marilou Chagnaud is a UK-based artist whose practice spans printmaking, sculpture, and site-specific installation. Working primarily with textiles and paper, she develops a visual language of line, colour, and pattern that responds to its surroundings. Through repetitive processes such as screen-printing, folding, and dyeing, she explores how soft materials transform and carry traces of the spaces they inhabit. Engaging both urban and natural environments, her work creates sensory experiences that evoke lightness, movement, and impermanence. Her project The Sea, the Ghost, and the Kite Maker responds to the Norfolk coastline’s accelerating erosion, with 15 Kites using printed paper kites and installation to embody transience, wind, and changing landscapes.
