Moritz Simon Geist deconstructs the boundary between technological precision and human sensation through kinetics. His practice focuses on the materiality of sound and the poetry of automated movement, using robotics to animate physical objects and bridge the tangible and algorithmic. In his installations, motors, magnets and circuits become performers, creating a visceral reality. By treating hardware as the “body” of the work, he challenges the clinical purity often associated with modern technology and reveals the beauty to be found within the mechanical. His work Don’t Look at Me is an algo-kinetic installation that reacts to attention, exploring emotional and social impacts of human-machine interaction.
