The motivation for Li's creations comes from boredom. Li drew symbols to represent the sounds and instruments she heard, archived in the sound of visual languages by using abstract drawings to translate poetry. Na Li is an artist and experimental filmmaker who earned her MA in Experimental Animation from the Royal College of Art in 2022. Her work is rooted in drawing and improvisational processes, delving into the subconscious linguistic relationship between sound and image. Embracing a variety of media, including painting, film, sculpture and performance art, her creations unfold organically. She adopts a non-logical, intuitive and fluid process in developing her art, reflecting on the essence of sound and presenting its original image.
