Nicolas Laborie is a London-based photographer, filmmaker, writer and educator, originally from Paris. His long-term project Faces Unclaimed, Fallen Echoes of Existence (1999–2024) collects accidental passport photos found in public spaces, exploring the fragile nature of identity – how it can be lost, discarded, or forgotten. His digital and wet plate works have been exhibited at the Victoria and Albert Museum, Royal Academy of Art, Christie’s and Rencontres d’Arles. He won the British Journal of Photography Portrait of Britain awards in 2017 and 2020.
