Sean Cham works at the intersection of photography, performance and installation. His interdisciplinary practice engages with themes of personal and institutional histories, critically examining authorship, archival gaps, colonial legacies and migration. Born in Singapore and based in London, Cham often uses his own body as a subject, performing for the camera to reclaim agency and challenge inherited narratives. Through this embodied approach, his work confronts the lingering impact of colonialism whilst creating space for alternative perspectives within contemporary discourse.
