Originally from South Africa, Siobhán Costigan moved to Wellington, New Zealand, in 2012 after living in Sydney, Australia, for 22 years. She creates contemporary fine art photographs which capture beauty in everyday situations. Her work has an atmospheric style, which is visually enticing, mysterious and intensely personal. Costigan inspires the viewer to reflect on their connection to the natural environment. The artist’s preference for limited colour and tone make her work unique and instantly recognisable, winning numerous awards in international competitions.
