Sonia Levesque is an audiovisual artist, thinker and realtime filmmaker (Unreal Engine) based in the West Midlands. Via films, virtual installations, poetry/prose and mini public art interventions, Levesque strives to create work which entices others to commit their own mini acts of creative rebellion, to self-express and to use art as a lens to think critically about their world. Levesque’s film, made for the ReelBrum 48-hour challenge in Birmingham, imagines spirits observing life on Earth, blending monologues, piano, and poetry as a love letter to the city. Created in Unreal Engine with custom metahumans and Cesium, it is a love letter to Birmingham and a nod to those spirits who still occasionally check in on how the Brummies are doing.
