Soushi Tanaka is a Tokyo-based photographer who worked as a web engineer and was intrigued by the similarities between the use of code and applications to process information and images according to instructions. This coupled with the use of web services to update and spread information online, combined the ideas of conceptual art and minimalism, define the parameters of his practice. In this age of information clutter, how can photography and various tools be merged to survey various societal issues into artworks? He continues to work whilst thinking about this question.
