Tara Hay is a fine art landscape photographer based in Scotland. She focuses on nature and the profound influence it has on human health and well-being. The artist uses a large format camera which allows her to immerse herself slowly within the landscape. She makes her own film and paper developed from foraged sustainable botanicals in an effort to reduce her chemical impact on the environment. Inspired by a season of apple picking, she photographed rejected twin apples, using a 5x4 format camera and homemade caffenol developer, finding beauty in their reflections of ageing, individuality and natural imperfection.
