Theo Hey is an artist and blacksmith based in Jersey, whose work explores the structural elements of flora. He creates sculptures that pair expressive organic forms with rigid geometric constructions, embodying the relationship between industrial design and natural growth. Hey is a recent graduate, and hopes to introduce the public to the world of contemporary forged metal. He believes narrative is vital to handmade objects and chooses to leave heavy hammer marks and forge scale textures in his work – reminders of the processes involved.
