Thomas Kuppler’s work spans painting, photography, poetry and sculpture. Originally from Germany, he moved to London in the 1990s, where he continued to exhibit internationally, and graduated in 2014 with an MA in Photography from UAL. His imagery integrates various media and methods, from abstraction to experimentation, to communicate anxieties surrounding our current reality and the potential futures it could bring about. Between Now and Then, inspired by the bacterium Xylella Fastidiosa, reflects on global political systems and the rising nationalism around the world through the deconstruction of photographic form.
