“We are surrounded by art all the time, you just have to be willing to see it.” Uwe Langmann’s main intention is to show the hidden beauty in everyday objects and nature that surrounds us. His photography is an emotional and poetic interpretation of the world surrounding him. Langmann has developed a photographic style where he takes pictures in particular weather conditions, which utilise snow, fog and diffused light from overcast skies that give his images a peculiar look reminiscent of Japanese ink paintings. In his latest series, solely devoted to the Japanese Crane, Tanchozuru, he highlights this aesthetical relationship even further.
