Victor Drouin-Trempe and Jean-Philippe Côté

Empreintes Sonores (2022)

Jean-Philippe Côte and Victor Drouin-Trempe are artists, professors and researchers who create interactive installations. Côte repurposes obsolete technologies to examine self-representation, materiality and the tension between identity and mediated presence within today’s disposable tech culture. Drouin-Trempe, meanwhile, creates sound works inspired by ecosystems. He uses artificial life and environmental signals to explore the dynamic relationship between organic processes and technology, highlighting the complex interplay between natural and human-made environments.
