Weronika Trojańska is developing a new form of “appropriation art” – expressed through a collective practice in which she learns skills from other creatives. Instead of altering, borrowing or copying pre-existing objects and motifs, she focuses on embodying artists’ personal traits whilst decontextualising and rematerialising the ephemeral qualities of their work. Trojańska has exhibited in various venues and institutions, both in her home country, Poland, and abroad. Currently, she is a PhD candidate at the Doctoral School of Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design, Wrocław.
