Ukraine-based photographer Yevhen Samuchenko’s work primarily focuses on nature and studies the shifting relationship between humankind and the environment. His photographs are often minimalist in form and carry a contemplative, philosophical undertone. His work, which aims to show the fragile beauty of our planet, has been featured in magazines, books, and online platforms such as BBC, The New York Times, The Times, National Geographic, Traveller, UNESCO, Nikon, the Royal Photographic Society and many others. Samuchenko’s aerial series was created in the Carpathian Mountains of Ukraine, where he used a drone after long winter hikes to capture minimalist rural scenes resembling pencil sketches.
