Yiling Liu is a visual artist focusing on social observation and feminist expression. She holds an MA in Photography from the Royal College of Art. Her work explores tradition, social structures and women’s rights, investigating tensions between individual experience and societal narratives. With a film directing background, she uses cinematic language to create emotionally charged, symbolic photographic works. Originating from her grandmother’s snakebite experience and later events, this work examines healthcare access, serum production and ethics through non-linear narratives, using symbolic imagery to connect humans, animals and medical technology; while addressing medical humanities, body consciousness and technological ethics.
