The relationship between life, spiritual consciousness and body image has always been the focus of Yuehan Hao's practice. She often uses film cameras when creating her works. Utilising the unique textural characteristics of film, its physical properties are transformed into the aesthetic feeling of intimate contact that visually touches the photos, achieving synaesthesia. Employing a clock as its central metaphor, Lies In Stopping delves deep into the intertwined concepts of time and existence. It bridges the duality of life's inception and cessation, invoking introspection on the essence of life's transience.
