Yuyue He’s visual art practice examines identity, social structure, collective memory and the politics of looking. By reconfiguring everyday objects and materials embedded in secular traditions, she activates them as vessels of emotional weight. Her work explores diasporic identity and subjectivity, revealing how visibility becomes a quiet demand for acknowledgment within the fluid spaces between public discourse and private reflection. Safe Trip follows a Chinese paper offering figure through liminal spaces, using immigrant correspondence to explore diasporic memory, ritual adaptation and spiritual ties, examining mourning, cultural continuity and identity within migration.
