Conflicts between gender and power, conversations between individual and collective memories, are rewritten and embodied in the fictionalised space. Wenyi Pan, an artist living in Glasgow, UK, narrates these neglected traumatic stories through installation spaces woven by material-led sculpture. She visualises silenced voices from the unique perspective of her identity as an East Asian female artist, exploring the transformation between materials, discourse and personal objects. Pan’s works have been exhibited and published in various cities, including Hangzhou, Beijing, Carrara, London and Glasgow.
